Иисуса Христа

оскресший Христос еще в продолжение сорока дней являлся Своим ученикам и говорил им о Царстве Божием. Наконец, собрав учеников, Он повелел им:
Не отлучайтесь из Иерусалима, но ждите обещанного от Отца, о чем вы слышали от Меня. Ибо Иоанн крестил водою, а вы через несколько дней будете крещены Духом Святым.
Вы примете силу, когда сойдет на вас Дух Святой, и будете Мне свидетелями в Иерусалиме, и во всей Иудее, и Самарии, и даже до края земли.
После этих слов Иисус Христос стал подниматься у них на глазах на небо, и облако скрыло Его от их взоров. И когда они смотрели на небо во время Его вознесения, вдруг предстали перед ними два мужа в белых одеждах и сказали: «Галилеяне! Что вы стоите и смотрите на небо? Иисус, вознесшийся от вас на небо, придет таким же образом, как вы видели Его восходящим на небо».

he risen Christ appeared to his disciples over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. Once, when he had gathered all his disciples, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”
