Заповеди блаженства

днажды Иисус, увидев народ, поднялся на гору. Проповедь, с которой Он обратился к людям на этой горе, называют Нагорной проповедью. Как и Десять заповедей, которые Бог дал народу Своему во времена Ветхого Завета, Нагорная проповедь заключает в себе нравственные основы жизни человека и указывает путь к Царству Божию. Когда ученики и народ расположились подле Иисуса, Он стал учить их:

• Блаженны нищие духом, ибо их есть Царство Небесное.
• Блаженны плачущие, ибо они утешатся.
• Блаженны кроткие, ибо они наследуют землю.
• Блаженны алчущие и жаждущие правды, ибо они насытятся.
• Блаженны милостивые, ибо они помилованы будут.
• Блаженны чистые сердцем, ибо они Бога узрят.
• Блаженны миротворцы, ибо они будут наречены сынами Божиими.
• Блаженны изгнанные за правду, ибо их есть Царство Небесное.
• Блаженны вы, когда будут поносить вас, гнать и всячески неправедно злословить за Меня; радуйтесь и веселитесь, ибо велика ваша награда на небесах: так гнали и пророков, которые были прежде вас.
• Вы – соль земли. Если же соль потеряет силу, то чем сделаешь ее соленой? Она уже ни к чему не годна, разве что выбросить ее вон на попрание людям.

Вы – свет мира. Не может укрыться город, стоящий на вершине горы. И когда зажигают свечу, не ставят ее под сосуд, но на подсвечник, и светит всем в доме. Так да светит свет ваш перед людьми, чтобы они видели ваши добрые дела и прославляли Отца вашего Небесного.

nce when Jesus saw the crowds of people, he went up on a mountainside and taught them there. Because he was sitting on a mountainside, this passage in the Gospels is often called the Sermon on the Mount. Like the Ten Commandments that God gave to his people in the Old Testament, the Sermon on the Mount gives us good rules to live by, and challenges us to strive for the Kingdom of God . When the people gathered around him, Jesus began to teach them. He said,

• "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
• "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
• "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
• "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
• "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
• "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
• "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
• "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
• "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. "
