Gospel Parables in Tatar, Rutul and Tsakhur
November 30, 2017

IBT has published an edition of selected parables of Jesus from Luke’s Gospel in three more languages: Tatar, Rutul and Tsakhur. Previous editions of this book were published in Agul (2007), Dungan, Kumyk and Nogai (2016), and Dargi (2017).

This short but beautifully illustrated book has proved interesting both for people speaking languages that already have the full Bible (such as Tatar) and for those in whose languages there is not yet much Scripture (such as Tsakhur and Rutul). The Tatar version includes the Parables of the Prodigal Son, the Good Samaritan, the Wedding Feast, and the Pharisee and the Tax Collector, while the Rutul and Tsakhur versions omit the Parable of the Wedding Feast but add the Parables of the Lost Sheep and the Lost Coin. The PDFs and audio recordings of these editions are available for reading, streaming and downloading on the IBT website.
